    • GENERAL QUESTIONS
      What requirements must be submitted when requesting technical assistance for academic research and other information service needs? To request technical assistance for academic research and other information service needs, the following requirements must be submitted:
      1. A request letter addressed to the concerned Director of the National Museum of the Philippines, endorsed and signed by a school, company representative, or supervisor.
      2. Supporting documents depending on the type of request, such as fully accomplished required NMP Forms.
      Are there fees associated with requesting technical assistance or accessing archival materials? None
      What are the official hours for conducting research, interviews, or other approved activities at the National Museum of the Philippines? Generally, all requests are processed Mondays to Fridays, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. However, special schedule may be assigned as deemed needed.
      What should be expected after a technical assistance request is approved? The assigned person/office who will handle the technical assistance will coordinate with you to facilitate the rendering of the actual assistance.
      Can technical assistance be requested remotely, or must it be done in person? Technical assistance requests at the National Museum of the Philippines can be submitted via email to the appropriate division. Actual consultations, material examinations, and research activities are typically conducted on-site according to scheduled appointments and museum policies.

      Are visits to Museum facilities such as repositories and laboratories allowed? Yes, provided all requirements for the visit are fulfilled.
    • ACCESS TO COLLECTIONS/ OTHER RELATED INQUIRIES
      Does NMP provide collections authentication and identification services? No. However, we can assist you on the identification of your specimen depending on the availability of our experts.
      Can we request copy of floor plans of your Museums? Yes. Floor plans for public access may be accessed at the Central Library and Archives.
      Is the Library and Archives of the NMP accesible to the public? Yes. Central Libray and Archives is located at the ground floor of the National Museum of Anthropology opens Mondays to Fridays, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. By appointment on Mondays to Wednesdays and open for the general public om Thursdays and Fridays.
