Together with the staff of the Cultural Properties Regulation Division, Acting Assistant Director Bautista shared and discussed to the delegates the significant role of the National Museum in the preservation of the national identity of the Filipinos with the help of the fourteen (14) division of the agency.
The guests were also given the chance to visit the National Museum of Fine Arts, National Museum of Anthropology and National Museum of Natural History to further understand the function of the agency in the preservation, conservation and protection of cultural properties. Part of their itinerary also includes observation at the ongoing salvage excavation at the Revellin Recoletos in Intramuros Manila.
Mr. Tagaan and his team expressed their appreciation to the National Museum for the agency’s hospitality and cordiality.
“We cannot push through with infrastructure development by leaving behind the most important aspect of the Boholanos. Thus, this visit is very significant for the cultural frontliners like us as we need to see, explore and experience the best museum in the Philippines, which is the National Museum,” Mr. Tagaan added.
