Commemorating the 450th anniversary of the City of Manila

On September 3, 2021, Mr. Charlie Dungo, officer-in-charge of the Department of Tourism, Culture and Arts of Manila (DTCAM), visited the National Museum of Fine Arts, specifically the City of Manila’s great work of art installed at the former Senate Session Hall: “Filipino Struggles Through History” by National Artist Carlos V. Francisco (1968). There, he presented to Director-General Jeremy Barns a framed sheet of commemorative stamps issued to mark the 450th anniversary of Manila, dedicated to your National Museum of the Philippines by Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso, together with a framed commemorative medal.

We express our gratitude to Mayor Domagoso, Mr. Dungo, DTCAM and all our friends and neighbors at Manila City Hall, and join in the celebration of Manila’s 450 years as a city.
